Don’t Bee Scared!
Are you afraid of bees? Many people are a little bit frightened by them. While it’s true that the stings of a honeybee can be painful, most humans can withstand hundreds of them before suffering any permanent damage. Of course, if you’re allergic to bee stings, that’s a whole different situation and we don’t blame you for keeping your distance! However, bees are pretty important, since they do a lot more for us than just producing sweet-tasting honey. They’re one of the most efficient pollinators, and without them, we would have a much harder time growing enough nutritious food. And although most bees do just fine on their own, beekeepers can help out hives a lot. They treat hives for pests, feed the bees when food is scarce, and dethrone the queen when necessary! If beekeeping sounds like a fun job, but you aren’t so comfortable with real insects, we have just the thing.
Design & Details
We decided to make a costume for people who like bees but don’t want to risk getting stung. When you put on this Busy Beekeeper Costume, you’ll be ready to harvest some honey! (Please note: this costume is not intended to function like a protective beekeeping suit.) The romper buttons in the front and has a little gathering around the waist to keep you comfortable. The yellow-green gloves have black satin trim to imitate the stripes on bees and will match most other bee-themed accessories you might want to add! The hat has a tulle veil with small embroidered bees to really make you feel like you’re caring for a hive.
