The Cane of Our Existence
Did you know candy canes were originally made to help keep audiences quiet at church? It worked (in case you weren’t sure) and the trend spread. The hook-shaped candy wound up becoming so well-liked that people don’t stay quiet when they see the confection anymore. Now, when the holidays roll around, if you hand someone a candy cane, they get excited. Their novelty shape and seasonal existence have made them almost too popular though. People go out and buy 24-packs of the treat, hang them on their Christmas tree, eat maybe 1, and leave 23 sugar sticks to find a use or place for after Christmas.
We got sick of the leftovers. So, after the office had a candy cane themed gathering (all things peppermint flavored) to get rid of our leftovers, we came up with a waste-free way to help people get their candy cane fix for the holidays.
Design and Details
Don’t worry about having too many leftover candy canes in the house after Christmas, instead enjoy the peppermint goodness with this Candy Cane Costume! Our team of designers took special care to make sure this sugar stick would look good enough to eat. Using a bright red and white poly/spandex stretch knit for the bodysuit and foam for the hood and boot covers, this candy cane costume will keep its hook shape longer than any other. The red stripes are printed on the suit to give the same illusion of food-color striping as your favorite holiday candy. All you’ll need is some peppermint scented body spray!
